YMCA Multi-Sport Team
The Y MultiSport Team strives to develop well rounded, healthy, happy athletes through running, swimming, cycling, cross training, strength training and social interaction. We accept all people onto our team, regardless of experience, speed or ability. We offer a safe, comfortable and non-judgmental opportunity to achieve personal and team oriented accomplishments.
How to Join
This team is for members of the YMCA. We have options starting as low as $15/month:
– $15/month: Weekend Membership, 5pm Friday through 4pm Sunday
– $30/month: Individual Membership, no day/time restrictions
– $60/month: Family Membership, no day/time restrictions
- Annual Team Fee, $100 (in addition to Y membership)
- For married couples/domestic partners, only one person is required to maintain a Y membership; and both will pay the $100 annual Team fee.

Team Benefits
- Twice weekly group runs – Wednesdays at 6PM & Saturdays at 8AM
- Access to basic training plans for 5k, 10k, half and full marathon options
- Professional coaching for the duration of the season
- Access to professional coaching via text, email and in-person meetings
- Access to Facebook page with exchange of information, ideas, stories, etc.
- Access to foam rolling/injury prevention session with coaches
- Mapped courses for every run with written directions
- Headquarters with space to stretch, roll, and secure valuables
- The peace of mind knowing that you have a Y, a coach and a team with you
- Several team races (varying distances) throughout the year
- Walk/Run Interval training techniques will be featured
- New or inexperienced runners are welcome and provided coaching to reach goals
- Cross training opportunities on an ongoing basis in the form of the Y’s diverse Group Exercise Classes
- “Team” classes and programs such as bike trainer sessions, yoga for runners, group swim classes, training rides and open water swims at The Y’s Camp Blanchard in Sutton
- Workshops, clinics and specialty programming throughout the year
- Alternative space in the event of inclement weather for workouts
- Access to individual coaching and training plans for an additional cost through the purchase of training packages at the rate of $200 for 5 one hour meetings.

Notes
- Training run distances will be based on the program we’re following; however, there will be multiple shorter/longer distances available
- Wednesdays will be for shorter distances with a focus on technique and skills to make you stronger, faster, healthier runners; Saturdays will be longer distances with opportunities to practice skills you’ve learned on Wednesdays.
