Program & Activities

YouthConnect is a unique and strong collaboration of youth serving agencies which provides neighborhood-based recreational, educational, and cultural activities. Dinner, snack, and transportation are all provided.

July 5 - August 25 (Monday - Friday)

FREE 8-WEEK SUMMER EVENING PROGRAM
For youth ages 11 to 15
Pre-Registration is Required:
*Program Days and Hours Vary by Site*

Registration is open now and can be done online. 

REGISTER ONLINE HERE

Advance registration is required. Youth may choose to register for multiple sites each week.
Registrations are required by the Sunday prior to the week of attendance.

A parent/guardian must complete the registration form online at youthconnectworcester.org.

Shuttle Service

A Shuttle Service is available to take participants from one program site to another throughout the evening. The shuttle departs the YMCA at 6:30 p.m. and again at 7:30 p.m. All participants must be waiting for the shuttle outside prior to the pick up time listed below. Also, all participants must return to the Boys & Girls Club prior to 9:00 p.m. to access neighborhood buses.

YMCA has a partnership in the Women’s Health Network/ Family Health Center whose purpose is to decrease cancer diagnosis, sickness and death by providing a comprehensive program of outreach, screening and follow-up care.
Women’s Health Network strives to increase screening rates in prioritized populations- Black/Brown Indigenous, / vulnerable populations for women who have a higher incidence/death rate from breast/cervical cancer. Early screenings/ detection has been shown to lead to more positive outcomes/ easier treatment plans and greater rates of survival. The Women’s Health Network aims to ensure every woman in our Worcester County community has access to breast/cervical cancer screening.

CANCER SUPPORT PROGRAM
The LIVESTRONG® at the Y Cancer Support Program is a FREE 12 week small group program designed for adult cancer survivors wanting to regain health as they become de-conditioned or chronically fatigued from treatment and/or disease. Learn More

• 12 week membership for survivor and families
• Two 75 minutes classes per week
• Full access to the YMCA seven days per week.

INSTRUCTORS
Our certified instructors provide a supportive safe environment for each class. Our instructors and personal trainers have undergone specialized training in the areas of cancer, post-rehab exercise, nutrition, and supportive cancer care.
