The YMCA of Central Massachusetts has served Worcester since 1864. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the generosity of local leaders and businesses to help us carry out our mission. Today we have the opportunity to re-imagine how the YMCA can serve a changing community and address the needs of a new generation. Our Capital Campaign to invest in Worcester includes renovations and expansions at our Greendale Family Branch and Central Community Branch.

As our Y quickly responded to evolving needs while our community battled the historic public health crisis, it became clear what really matters: health, safety, family, and real human connections. This is why a strong Y is needed more than ever.
Today we have the opportunity to re-imagine how the YMCA can serve a changing community and address the needs of a new generation. We will be purposeful in how we design spaces that will bring people together and foster the programs that transform lives. That's why we are launching our Community Grows Here Capital Campaign to invest in Worcester.

Through your investment in the Y, you will provide lasting, positive impacts on not only the kids and families we serve, but also their neighborhoods and the entire community of Worcester. Your investment in the Y is an investment in a thriving and prosperous Worcester.
Research shows that “quality of place” initiatives, like the YMCA, improve both the quality of life and economic/workforce development opportunities for a community. These improvements save tax dollars, increase economic development as manufacturers and other types of businesses can locate or expand operations, and improve the natural environment.
