The Tri-Community Family Branch YMCA in Southbridge, MA is hosting a Farmers Market in partnership with the Regional Environmental Council (REC), every Wednesday from 11am – 1pm until May 10th! Don’t miss it!

The Central Community Branch YMCA and the Greendale Family Branch YMCA will be teaming up for a #DayofService on Monday, January 16th, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
From now until Jan. 16th both branches will be collecting new pajamas and socks for children who are in DCF (Department of Children and Families) custody. Are you able to help? Drop off any NEW PJs, socks, or toothbrushes at the Welcome Center at the Greendale Family Branch or the Central Community Branch.
Once these items are collected, they will be sorted and packaged on our Day of Service (Jan. 16th) by our Leaders Club participants and other volunteers, for delivery to DCF on Tuesday, Jan 17th.

We love when people are enthusiastic about making a difference in the community and last week we had an official Ambassador of Goodwill from the Harlem Globetrotters, Maxwell “Hops” Pearce, visit our Central Community Branch YMCA and tell us his story. Pearce and the Harlem Globetrotters Team demonstrate daily just how important it is to help others around you and build community while having fun! Thank you for spending time with us and shooting some hoops! Make sure to check out the Harlem Globetrotters when they play at the DCU Center!

In Worcester, Pearce was at the Central Community Branch YMCA at 766 Main St., and spoke to children, youths, and a few adults.
“I’m just gonna tell my story and give them some really valuable lessons, speak to what my journey was like, and then I’ll show them some tricks,” Pearce said during an interview last week ahead of his visit.
