Volunteer your time and energy for a program or join a committee and help set the direction of our Y. Your passion for our mission could make a real difference and see what you get in return.
The YMCA Central Massachusetts is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The YMCA Board of Directors sets policy, strategic planning and oversees activities of the entire Association. In addition each of the YMCA Branches through YMCA of Central Massachusetts is governed by its own Board of Governors.
Advisory/Board volunteers: Offer your expertise as a member of a task force, Board committee or special project. This could be the first step in learning about the Board Development process at our Y.
Board of Governors: Learn about serving on your Branch Board helping to advise and set directions locally.
Corporator: Join your friends and colleagues who have selected the Y as their charity of choice, who believe in our mission and attend the Annual Meeting each May.
Annual Support Volunteers: Help the YMCA reach it fundraising goals in order to provide financial assistance and program subsidies to those most in need.
Program volunteer: Assist in specific program of your choice or special event.
Support volunteer: Provide administrative, clerical and/pr technical support to a specific branch or department.
